The Mortal Instruments

One thing you should really know about me: I am a serious book nerd. Serious. Book. Nerd. That means I go crazy at the mere mention of a certain book that I have read and loved. Namely, The Mortal Instruments series.

I'm currently a quarter way through City Of Glass (I know, I know, I'm a little late jumping on the bandwagon) and I have absolutely fallen in love with Clary, Jace, Alec, Isabelle, Alec, Magnus and the lot. Have I mentioned Magnus is one of my favorite characters? He is one funny dude. Not that the rest of them aren't.

So like the rest of them TMI (The Mortal Instruments, not Too Much Information) fans, I am very eagerly waiting for the movie to come out :D I. Am. Super. Excited. Like jump-up-and-down-can't-stop-squealing-even-though-it-feels-like-my-head-is-about-to-explode-excited. Whee!!!

Now. The Cast (so far)/my opinions &suggestions:

Jace: Jamie Campbell Bower.

Is it just me, or does he look a little too nice to play Jace? Not that I don't love Jamie (actually I don't. I've never heard about him until this. Sorry Jamie :( ) Part of the reason I don't really picture him as Jace is because almost all of his pictures on Google Images are him with long hair. For some reason, I'm not a boys-with-long-hair lover. But I know Jamie will do a great job with Jace :D

So I read on the TMI movie's page on IMDB that Mitch Hewer, Alex Pettyfer and Alexander Ludwig (more on him later) have auditioned but did not, I repeat DID NOT get the part. I mean, Mitch is exactly the person I envisioned for Jace and then I found out he actually auditioned!!!??? Okay, and Alex P. is hot :) so is Alex L. That is all.

Clary: Lily Collins

When I first searched her on Google Images, I thought 'that's not how I imagined Clary/why are her eyebrows so dark?' but actually after seeing this photo I'm getting warmed up to her :)

I know these are the only two cast so far so the rest are just me voicing my humble opinion.

Simon: Logan Lerman

Because he is just that AWESOME. And as much as I love Logan, I think he would be perfect as Simon, the best friend who ultimately gets his heart broken by Clary :( Besides, he's certainly pale enough :D

Isabelle: I have absolutely no idea. On Cassandra Clare's website one suggestion was Kaya Scodelario but I don't really imagine Izzy as a real person, just a vague representation with dark hair, dark eyes and red lips.

Alex: Same as Izzy. Except replace Kaya's name with Douglas Booth/Tom Sturridge (not sure if I spelt his name right.)

Magnus <3: Ooh nice one. A lot of suggestions say Adam Lambert but I don't think he's tall or thin enough. I keep thinking of Roderick (Greg's older brother from Diary Of A Wimpy Kid) and his eyeliner, and he's who I imagine Magnus as.

Pilates, Freckles and Braces

Hey, just got back from pilates class with my mom. Well, actually it was like 2 and a half hours ago but I only have time to write now :P For the uninitiated, pilates is like yoga, but without the meditation. So yeah, one hour of butt-busting with a bunch of middle-aged ladies (no offence).

Because of all the stretching we do in pilates, it's really piqued my interest in ballet again. I mean, I used to do ballet when I was like 6 years old, but then I quit. And I truly, truly regret that decision. 8 years later, and slightly overweight, I've decided I want to continue ballet again. Sigh. If only my mom would remember to ask about classes before I lose interest again.

Anyway, I should probably tell you people what I look like. You know, so you can imagine better.

Who am I kidding? I'm telling you because I'm a vain person, and I like talking about myself. So disappointed in myself.

Okay, so I'm Asian, I'm 14, and I'm short, like really short. I'm 5 foot 1. Before you picture me as a munchkin, let me just say that I think I've grown since the last time I checked. Besides, most of us are short anyway.

I wear black-framed glasses, have braces (which hopefully I can got off by March next year. Woo!!), and as of now, have a gargantuan pimple smack bang on my nose. No matter what I do, it just won't budge. Stupid stubborn zit.

I'm curvy. Well, curvier than I would like. My top looks like an average human being but for some reason my butt and thighs are slightly bigger than I would consider 'curvy'. Anyway. You don't really want to read this stuff.

I don't have freckles Not completely sure why I'm mentioning it. I think they're kinda cute. But unfortunately we Asians don't get freckles (I think). Well, I've never seen anyone who does anyway.

How It All Started

Hey ya'll, who just happened to stumble upon my blog, welcome! :) I'm not really good at starting things like this...uhh well the whole purpose of this blog is basically a vehicle for me to rave/vent about things that happen in my daily life/famous people/situations so yeah... Actually I created this blog to follow people, but then I thought 'hey! Why not use this blog to write about stuff?" and that, my friends is how this started. :)
